Frequently asked questions...
Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?
I am a CERTIFIED NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER through the ACADEMY OF NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY.
I am here for YOU, every step of the way. You’ll become part of my client family. You are my priority. You can contact me anytime. Only I, Paula, will handle your precious baby. I promise to get your images to you in a timely manner. You will receive the best customer service I can possibly give, and that is always my main goal. You will get to experience tears of joy every time you look at your photos. That is what I want for you.
Having had babies myself, I am aware of the emotions new parents go through, and I completely understand the natural instinct of a mum & dad wanting to protect their precious baby. Because of this I have created a studio that is very safe, highly sanitised and a place to take a moment to stop and really absorb the beautiful family you have created.
I have been told I am one of a kind! And it’s true! I make sure my clients are looked after to my best ability and that the artwork they receive is the best they can get!
My clients tell me to my face that they’re so happy they made the best choice in having me photograph their newborn, older baby or family.
Q: Are you immunised against Whooping Cough?
YES YES YES !! Absolutely, I most definitely am, as is my immediate family.
Q: When is the best time to photograph my newborn baby?
Newborn photography sessions are best held between 8-16 days of life.
During this early stage of life, babies usually sleep more and more easily posed. As they get older, they tend to be less flexible, are more alert and it is harder to get 'posed' shots that you see here on my site.
Q: What types of shots are included in the newborn studio session?
Each session Paula likes to use a mix of both lifestyle and posed styled shots.
Sessions include the use of Paula's vast range of props she has collected from both local and international sources and are available for selection for all of her clients.
Q: How long does a newborn session take?
Each session can be expected to take approximately 2-3 hours and includes sibling and parent shots which are done at the beginning of each session.
Q: When is the best time to book?
It is best to book in your newborn session while you are still pregnant. Your due date is pencilled in and as soon your baby arrives we book a date within that short timeframe. Paula always tries to accommodate late bookings, however she does limit her bookings of newborns each month. This is to ensure booked babies get a date in those first 2 weeks after birth.
If you happen to stumble across this site after your baby is born, Paula will do her best to try to fit you in as soon as possible around pre booked babies. If you missed those first few weeks, we can still book in a session however as baby gets older the session will change slightly usually into more lifestyle and not those posed, curled shots.
